I love unusual places and am going to take a guess that if you are visiting this page – you do too! There are so many to be found around the world and it is great fun to either stumble upon these as you explore or actively look them up to visit.

An imposing close up of the High Royds clock tower asylum building; sandy-coloured brick work and lots of windows against a blue, cloudy sky.

This page is dedicated to all of my Unusual Places posts so that you may get some ideas of where you could visit if you are seeking something a little different.

As a little prelude, here are some of my favourite unusual places that I have visited so far:

A few of my favourite quirky bars, restaurants and cafés:

  • Gordon’s Wine Bar, London
  • Guy Fawkes Inn, York
  • Mad Hatter’s Tea Room, Chester
  • Dans Le Noir, London
  • Józef K, Gdansk

I hope you enjoy this page!
